How the work reaches you.

Packing, carriage, insurance, customs, and what happens if something goes wrong in transit.

Photographs of crates and packing have not been supplied. The rates below are what you can use now.

flat rates

destinationprint, rolledprint, framedoriginal, fromtransit
Domestic$18$45$903–21 days
United Kingdom$32$85$2205–28 days
European Union$32$85$2205–28 days
North America$28$75$1904–24 days
Rest of world$48$120$3408–40 days

Rates are per order, not per item — a second print travels with the first at no extra cost, and three or more unframed prints ship free. Crates for originals are priced by the longest edge, so a three-metre diptych costs more than the figure above; the exact rate is shown at checkout before you pay. Digital editions never carry a shipping charge.

Originals

Every original travels in a purpose-built crate. The work is face-mounted, foam-braced and photographed as a condition report before the crate is closed. Carriage is by tracked freight with a signature required on delivery, and the shipment is insured at the full acquisition value for the whole journey.

Crated freight takes longer than a parcel — typically one to three weeks depending on destination — because the crate is built after the order is placed.

Prints

Unframed prints are interleaved with acid-free tissue and sent in a rigid tube. Framed prints travel boxed, with the glass taped and corner protection fitted. Both are tracked.

Prints are made to order, so allow three to five days in the studio before dispatch.

Digital editions

Nothing ships. A private download link arrives by email the moment payment clears, and it stays available in your account for a year.

Duties and taxes

Tax is calculated at checkout for the destination you give. Import duty, where it applies, is charged by the destination country and is the collector's responsibility — the studio cannot pay it in advance or under-declare a value.

If something arrives damaged

Photograph the packaging before you unpack any further, then write to the studio the same day. Every physical shipment is insured, and a damaged work is replaced or refunded in full. This has happened twice; both were resolved within a fortnight.

still unsure

Shipping a large canvas is the part people worry about most, reasonably. Ask the studio with your city and the work you have in mind, and you will get a real figure and a real timeline before you commit. See also living with a painting and returns.
